Know your size.
It's important to know your size before you go to the sample sale. This will help you avoid wasting time trying on gowns that won't fit. Typically, bridal gowns run a little larger than your everyday clothing, so be prepared to size up at least 2 dress sizes.
Gowns are sold in AS IS condition.
Our gowns are impeccably cared for and most are in like new condition, but keep in mind - sample gowns come AS IS. Be sure to completely inspect the gown before purchase and account for the price of minor repairs, cleaning and alterations in your budget. Joy Abendmode Bridal does not cover these costs.
Consider going dress shopping once beforehand.
If you want to be able to make a decision more quickly, it helps to have already tried on some gowns at a previous appointment so you know what you like!
Be prepared to act fast.
Sample sales are often very popular, so the best gowns tend to go quickly. Be prepared to act fast if you see a gown you love.
Know your budget.
Ask yourself ahead of time how much you’re willing to spend on a gown before heading into the store. Again, the clearer you are on what you’re looking for, the better your shopping trip will be!
